​Spend a summer renting boats with Coal River Kayak!
The Coal River Group offers up to three internship programs each summer with Coal River Kayak and Canoe Rental. The internships are a 10 week commitment in the summer renting boats, managing gear, teaching basic safety and paddling lessons. Each intern also develops a specialized project based on his or her interests and academic background.
Our internships provide students with fun, hands-on work experience helping one of West Virginia's premiere watershed organizations. Students majoring in parks and recreation management, environmental science, wildlife and fisheries, business, and sports management will find that CRG internships provide meaningful and engaging work in their field of study.
Candidates must be strong swimmers capable of lifting 40 lbs. First aid and/or life-guarding experience is a plus.
